National Archives Foundation to honor 'Hamilton' team

It's only been three days since Hamilton picked up 11 Tony Awards but Lin-Manuel Miranda is already going to have to make more room in his trophy case.
The National Archives Foundation has announced that it will bestow its Records of Achievement award on Miranda, director Tommy Kail and biographer Ron Chernow, whose book spawned the Broadway sensation. They will receive the honor at the group's annual gala Sept. 25 in Washington.
“We are thrilled to honor Ron Chernow, Thomas Kail and Lin-Manuel Miranda this year,”  said the foundation's chair, A'Lelia Bundles. "Together they have turned the early American history of our textbooks into an exciting popular culture phenomenon. Their daring storytelling ignites our interest in the people who shaped our nation and makes us want to know more about the origins of the complex political debates that continue today.”
