| The
knowing and doing archival have been changing profoundly in the last
three decades under the impact of new modes of production use and
storage of information. New organizational dynamics in the public and private sectors emerge alongside new informational demands from society. In Brazil, these elements are recognized differently, not only in the management of archival information in the public and private sectors, but also in the production of knowledge and teaching at the university. There is growing recognition in demand for new courses and vocational training models Archivist at the undergraduate and graduate, in addition to the production and dissemination of archival knowledge. Given this dynamic and challenging scenario, was held the first meeting of Brazilian Education and Research in Archival - REPARQ, from 06 to 09 June 2010, at the University of Brasilia. Given the success of the agenda and I REPARQ ensuing discussions, teachers and researchers in public universities Archivology Brazilian recommend performing this II Brazilian Meeting of Teaching and Research in Archival.
