The National Archives of Korea will release on its Web site about 40 archives related to parents and family to mark May as the Month of the Family.
The 42 archives, which will be posted on the site from Thursday, include letters written by South Korean soldier Chung Young-hwan who was deployed to the Vietnam War.
The letters, sent to his daughter and wife, were written on banana leaves in November 1972 and expressed his deep affection and love for his family.
