PARENTS, children and avid historians flocked to the National Archives of Fiji open day in Suva on Saturday.
The general public were hosted to a tour of the different sections of the archives and informed of the various work conducted in those departments.
The public were able to see historical documents such as the first Fijian Bible, first records of Fiji's newspaper and records of girmityas who arrived in Fiji, among other things. The open day also commemorated International Archives Day.
